Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF)
We supply fuels to a client’s specification from residual waste, using a range of processing techniques including pre-sorting, trammelling and shredding. The material is pre-sorted before it goes through a high-tech processing line and is always fully audited to ensure the quality of the product meets the highest standard agreed with the customers.
The products are used to generate energy at recovery facilities, helping customers from the cement industry to reduce their reliance on fossil fuels and avoid landfilling this residual waste.
Solid recovered fuel is a high-quality alternative to fossil fuel produced from commercial waste. It can be produced to a range of specifications such as moisture content, calorific value and chemical composition to meet customer requirements. The recovered fuel has a high calorific value and is used in facilities such as cement kilns.
The circular economy is a collaboration between the manufacturing and service sectors for the collective benefit of the economy and environment. Producing solid recovered fuel demonstrates the circular economy in action. We process residual waste to produce a fuel that can be used in manufacturing as a sustainable alternative to fossil fuels. This reduces the need for primary resources, such as coal, and ensures waste is put to good use as a secondary resource.
